Texas Republicans passed a resolution officially rejecting the 2020 election. WTF are you doing?

Literally do and say nothing. The Biden campaign stayed off the radar and beat Trump. Everything SHOULD be going the Republicans way this fall but they can't seem to get out of their own way.

You don't need to lather up the knobs that think the election was rigged, they will vote Republican if you just keep your mouth shut and do absolutely nothing from here to November but this stupid shit just reminds voters with functioning brains how clueless big swaths of the Republican party can be if they have a majority.

You have all the ammo you need to take control of congress and this is the approach you decide will win more people over.

Because you don't need to win majority approval if you don't let your dissenters vote.

I know you've had your head in the sand the past few years, but Republicans have been busy passing heavily restrictive voting bills, rolling back voting rights, and installing sycophants into key positions overseeing elections. Rejecting the 2020 election has been an integral part of that movement.

"Centrists" like you and Theo sit around in deep denial chanting both sides to yourselves, so it really doesn't matter what they do. Y'all are too busy attacking the left to see what's happening on the right, as usual.

Because I don't have a problem with voter id laws or closing polling places. Poor people and minorities are capable of getting ID's, rural people can make copies and are accustomed to traveling.

I can't speak for Wizz but maybe I want better Democrats. Maybe I have hope that Democrats are closer to pulling their heads out of their rectums than Republicans. At least they are starting to walk back on the progressive/socialist insanity, I don't see Republicans push back or reject the rigged election rhetoric.

I mean, you keep saying that to make yourself look better and more reasonable. You support and defend far right social movements, and advocate actually increasing wealth inequality. You're a status quo cuck that cares more about civility than civil rights. You're more upset about people calling out bigotry than people being bigots. You think there's no way the authoritarian moves by the right go anywhere, and are more upset about the left calling it what it is.

You don't want better Democrats, you want the government to do nothing, and Democrats are the do nothing party. Neoliberal brain rot has made you think things always get better and government just gets in the way.

Of course, it doesn't add any extra hurdles for voting. It especially doesn't add those extra hurdles for the specifically targeted minorities where the polling places are being closed. Or by specifically targeting voting methods used by people of color, like overnight early voting or drive through voting.

Everyone can afford to just take the whole day off to vote.

Like, the Texas GOP that you're talking about, have literally made it their official platform to abolish the Voting Rights Act.

Democrats may have their heads up their asses, but you apparently have yours in the sand.

Officially rejecting the 2020 election is pretty tame compared to a lot of other things. At one point they even call for Texas to secede from the nation.

Can California officially reject the rest of the states that accept tax dollars from California?

A return to good quality in BOTH parties would be very welcome. Generally, you don't want imbalance. Seldom does that lead to quality government. Too much power in either party's hands has a way of making them very stupid.
What's been missing... slowly eroding in my lifetime... has been civility behind the walls. It's always been a nasty bit of business during re-elections when it comes to party vs party. However, you could at least count on a very good amount of civility when it's a election between two (candidates) from the same side. It use to be, when Republicans vs Republicans and Democrats vs Democrats, that they would be pretty careful about personal attacks otherwise it would make the general elections (party vs party) much harder as either side could use those 'attacks-from-their-own-sides' against them. Now, nobody cares. I've always said if you believed 1/2 of what the candidates said about each other you wouldn't elect any of them.
That lack of civility has pretty much eroded any chance of us ever having a quality functioning government again... at least in my lifetime. It's also eroded the civility inside the walls... the working together we don't see because the press ignores it. Sorry... humans being humans and good news just doesn't sell... doesn't boost those all important ratings. Gimme shootings and crashes and death and murder and nasty people/politicians and you'll get your viewers. Stay away from the good stuff.
I'll even say I'm pleasantly surprised by the committee and, at least, the general working well together inside of that body. Still, there are far less willing to do that (work together) than there are who refuse to work on anything together.

The videos of the committee hearings were banned from YouTube for "misinformation", and the company doubled down on the decision afterwards.

Good idea. It worked so well the last time that happened.

So? YouTube is it's own business... can make it's own choices and suffer it's own consequences. Doesn't mean we have to like it or even agree but there's no way you step over the line of 'government control' and force them to do that.

They call for a statewide independence referendum in 2023, so that should be fun.

I look at it the same way as the 'Mike-The Pillow-Guy'. Dude is an idiot and I wouldn't buy one of his products for anything now. He's opened his mouth and stuck his foot so far down his throat so many times now it's a wonder he doesn't have 'hoof-in-mouth' disease. But he has the RIGHT to do that... just as we have the right to not buy his stuff. I feel sorry for his employees though. If his antics cause him to suffer in his business, it'll be the employees that get the hurt the most. If I worked there I would be seriously looking for a better job... like... now.
