You can save a lot by loading your own. Besides... allows you to customize your loads to whatever you need and make 100% sure that each bullet is exactly alike. Some of the sport shooters I know are so deep into this they have special scales to weigh EVERYTHING to the n'th degree. We're talking fractions so small it takes a math degree to read them. I'm not that bad but I do weigh the bullets and the powder down to pretty exact specifications.

It's not that hard, really. Nor super time consuming. With the right equipment I can turn out 20 perfect 9x39 super sonic bullets in around an hour. Each one 99% exactly like the other so I don't have to worry about an 'off' bullet. a half an hour in the evening every now and then and you're ready for a tourney.

Assuming wasting a day at a tourney to win a plastic trophy is something that interests me.

If what I shoot at dies, that's as far as I need it to go.
