Why do people have such a hard time believing I'm an independant?

In the three presidential elections I've voted in, I voted for 1 Republican, 1 Democrat, and 1 Libertarian.

The only straight party ticket I've ever voted was Libertarian.

I am not a member of ANY political party.

Giving people another option, so they have MORE choice in their healthcare, is EXACTLY what a true libertarian should want. More liberty.
